Use Eco-friendly Products!

India produces a total of 62 million tons of waste, annually, with the total waste generation being estimated at 165 million tons by 2030. These are alarming statistics that indicate a bleak future, with overflowing landfills and pressing environmental concerns.

We at Samyak Drishti Foundation value the words of author Bernard Clive, “Masters today were starters yesterday, so begin now.” It is never too late to take the first steps to protect the environment we live in, and at the same time provide opportunities for our citizens to prosper.

We have started a drive to encourage people to move towards more eco-friendly products and give up those that are harmful to the environment. Substitutes to plastic and thermocol, such as using bowls and plates made of sal leaves, kulhads or glasses made of earthenware can go a long way in protecting the environment. These are not only biodegradable, but can also provide a means of employment for those working in the cottage or local industries.
